NOVEMBER 2023: GETTING READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS IN BLOOR WEST VILLAGE!
Over the past few weeks, we have seen the streets of Bloor West Village transform into a mosaic of fall colours, as trees and leaves turned from green to warm shades of orange, yellow, and red. As we approach the colder temperatures, shades of chestnut and beige are now taking over, announcing the beginning of Holiday season in the village. Now, what does the Holiday season entail?
While Holidays might have a different significance for each person, ultimately the season is that of happiness, cheer, togetherness, and celebration! So, what better way to kick off the Holiday season than with some good news and celebration? That’s right! In late October, Bloor West Village clinched a spot on the list of Toronto’s ‘Top 3 Neighbourhoods to Live In’! Described as the “perfect alchemy between lively and quiet“, the article highlighted our unique boutique shops, popular restaurants, community events (Check out the recap of our Halloween event!), amongst other factors – everything contributing to the village’s charm. And we couldn’t agree more!

Well, we’re here to make the planning of your trip to the village easier! Here’s a list what to do this November in the village to kick off the Holiday season:

You know it! Shopping again! Okay, look – we’re right in the pre-Holiday madness period, and you KNOW it’s 99.2% shopping! Fine, it’s not a real statistic but you get the vibe. But let’s focus on this madness right here – BLACK FRIDAY! On November 24, get ready for some crazy good deals at your favourite stores. If the sudden change in decorations from pumpkins to Christmas stockings and trees didn’t give the hint that Christmas shopping season is here, then Black Friday sure marks the start of that season – officially.
Do you hear the sleigh bells ringing? Jokes on you, it’s actually the sound of the money leaving your bank account – oopsies! But tis’ the season! And Black Friday is here to help! Christmas shopping completed within the planned budget? Who would’ve thought? 4. Santa in the Village!
While Holidays are mostly about shopping, they’re also a reminder and an occasion to spread joy with our loved ones and all those around us. 5. Foodies Unite!
Hearty soups, seasonal veggies, spiced mulled wines – menus are changing and taking a festive turn. As we approach end of year festivities (Yes, it sounds weird, but we’re less than six weeks away from Christmas!), restaurants will soon start to be jam-packed. Company holiday lunches and dinners, friends reunions, family traditions, and more – Bloor West Village has a selection of popular restaurants that you can choose from for a nice festive meal.
