Bloor West Village parkettes are getting an exciting makeover!
Four parkettes will soon feature new perennial gardens and incorporate design elements that reflect the natural history and identity of the neighbourhood.
Shapes and materials in the design will subtly reference the area’s historical ecotypes – like the black oak savanna with tall black oaks and a low understory of grasses and wildflowers (lupines). The improvements will enhance the village’s attractiveness for visitors and residents alike.
This beautification project will begin mid-August and is a cost-share project between the City of Toronto and the Bloor West Village BIA.
